Dismiss multiple recurring service eventsLast updated on 09/09/2022
After each attempt to book a recurring service event into a job, you can log a follow-up and try again later. If customers don't return your calls or emails, you can dismiss recurring service events.
Things to know
Dismissing an event removes it from Follow Ups. Future recurring events at the customer’s service location are not affected.
Account configuration is required to recognize revenue when events are dismissed. Please contact Technical Support for details.
If you defer revenue for memberships, dismissing multiple recurring events automatically batches those deferred revenue invoices so that your revenue is recognized. The date the events are dismissed is used on the recognized revenue invoices. You can access the Dismissed Events batch from the Invoice screen.
You can review dismissal details at the bottom of the dismissed Recurring Service Event record, including when the event was dismissed and who dismissed it.
Dismiss recurring service events
Go to the navigation bar and click Follow Up.
In the side panel, click Recurring Service Events.
Add filters and sort columns to customize your view:
Use the filters to find specific recurring service events. For example, expand the date range to view more recurring events. You can also filter by technician name, city, ZIP code, zone, and location tags. When you update the filters, the recurring service events table refreshes automatically.
Tip: The number next to the Recurring Service Events header shows how many events are included within your filters.
By default, the table displays recurring service events chronologically. Click a column header to sort by that column. For example, click the Preferred Technician column to list recurring events alphabetically by technician name.
Scroll to the bottom of the table and click Load more to see the next 25 upcoming recurring events.
4. From your filtered results, select the recurring events you want to dismiss. You can also select Select all to choose the recurring events listed in the table. Note: The table displays the first 25 events within your filters. If there are additional events, click Load more before selecting Select all.
5. Dismiss the recurring service events:
Click Dismiss Selected to dismiss the recurring events you selected.
Click Dismiss All to dismiss all recurring events within your filters. Note: This dismisses all events within your filters, not just the ones listed onscreen.
6. In the pop-up, click Confirm to dismiss the recurring events.
Important note: Some features may not be currently included in your account and additional configuration may be required. Please contact technical support for details.
