Deactivate and reactivate a technician accountLast updated on 02/09/2023

ServiceTitan doesn't allow you to fully delete a technician account. Instead, you can deactivate a technician account if that account is no longer needed. This saves you time in the event you may need to use the same technician account in the future.

Before you deactivate a technician account

Make sure you do the following before deactivating a technician account:

  • Mark all jobs assigned to the technician as complete.

  • Export all invoices associated with the technician. If the technician has already been deactivated, you need to reactivate the technician and convert them to a managed technician again before you can export the invoices.

  • Run a search on job status (Scheduled, On Hold, In Progress) to find any jobs associated with the technician. Depending on the job status, perform the appropriate action on the jobs, such as marking them complete or reassigning them to a different technician.

  • Remove the technician’s mobile access. Go to People > Technicians and click Edit. Edit Technician opens. Switch the Enable Mobile Access toggle to Disabled. This is helpful if you are running timesheets or payroll for the technician.
