Create and edit estimate templatesLast updated on 04/14/2023
Create estimate templates for commonly performed jobs. Group similar estimate templates on proposal templates to offer good/better/best options in ServiceTitan Mobile. This allows your technicians to sell prebuilt offerings, saving them time while providing a consistent and efficient customer experience.
Things to know
Material items attached to service or equipment items are automatically added to estimate templates. They are uneditable and can only be removed by removing the linked service or equipment item.
As you add items to an estimate template, the total cost and subtotal update automatically.
Dynamic estimate templates change when you edit your pricebook. Static estimate templates do not update when you update your pricebook. If prices increase in your pricebook, the static estimate template price is unaffected.
Create an estimate template
Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook.
In the side panel, click Templates. Your template library opens.
Click the Create dropdown and select Estimate template. Create Estimate Template opens.
In the Internal Name field, enter a name for your template as you want it to appear within ServiceTitan. Note: This name is not visible to customers.
In the Estimate Template Name field, enter the name of the estimate as it appears when presented to customers.
Enter additional details in the Summary field, or skip to the next step.
Under Estimate Template Type, select how you want items on the estimate template to be updated:
Dynamic: When you update your pricebook, any corresponding items on the template are automatically updated, including prices. Most item fields on the estimate are not editable.
Static: When you update your pricebook, any corresponding items on the template are not updated. You can update them manually. Most fields are editable.
When you’re done, click Continue to edit the estimate template.
