Use the MyDoor (Clopay) integration to sell garage doorsLast updated on 03/22/2022
MyDoor is an online sales application used by Clopay garage door dealers. If your business uses MyDoor, contact Clopay at helpdesk@clopay.com to get set up to use MyDoor with ServiceTitan Mobile. After your integration is set up, your technicians can share information and switch seamlessly between MyDoor and ServiceTitan Mobile, eliminating the need for manual duplicate data entry.
Things to know
To get started, contact Clopay at helpdesk@clopay.com and let them know you’re interested in using the MyDoor integration with ServiceTitan. Clopay will reach out to ServiceTitan and work with us to get you started. Once setup is complete, Clopay lets you know that you can start using the integration.
The ServiceTitan integration with Clopay currently works only in ServiceTitan Mobile. We are currently exploring the ability for office users to send lead information to MyDoor in future iterations of this integration.
If a customer calls asking for a quote, the office employee taking the call should attach all details to a note on the job. That way, a technician can refer to this information when building the quote in MyDoor while in the field.
If a customer creates a quote directly on Clopay’s website, the office employee who receives the information should attach all details to a note on the job. That way, a technician can refer to this information when building the quote in MyDoor while in the field.
Linking MyDoor line items to specific items in ServiceTitan’s Pricebook is not currently supported. All line items on the estimate in ServiceTitan are called either Garage Door Item or Garage Door Service Item, meaning all items or services from MyDoor map to the same Pricebook item or service. See the Pricebook section of our knowledge base to learn more.
You should send every MyDoor quote to ServiceTitan so that both technicians and office employees can use the Follow-Ups workflow.
If a quote needs to be edited after the fact, make the edits through MyDoor and resubmit the edited quote to the original job in ServiceTitan. The quote appears as a new estimate.
Use the MyDoor integration
After the MyDoor integration has been set up in your account, all the relevant customer and location information in ServiceTitan passes to the lead in MyDoor. In turn, when you create a quote in MyDoor, the details are sent to ServiceTitan as an estimate.
There are two different workflows for the MyDoor integration with ServiceTitan Mobile. The first is when a technician creates a quote for a garage door and sells it on the spot to the customer. The second is where the technician creates a quote for a garage door but the customer doesn’t buy it right away, and an office employee or technician follows up on it with the customer at a later point.
Create a quote and sell a garage door
If you’re a technician out in the field and a customer is ready to buy a garage door on the spot, create the quote and sell it:
From the ServiceTitan Mobile app, in the dashboard, tap View Current Job.
Tap Launch MyDoor.
If this is your first time using the integration, sign in using your MyDoor username and password. You will not need to log in to MyDoor every time you launch the integration.
Note: These credentials are for MyDoor and aren’t the same as the ones you use for ServiceTitan. If you have issues with logging in, please contact the MyDoor administrator on your team or reach out to Clopay at helpdesk@clopay.com.
Your tablet opens your MyDoor account in your default browser.
Follow your standard MyDoor workflow to create a quote. The customer and location information you already entered in ServiceTitan is automatically added.
Note: Since customer and location information is sent from ServiceTitan to MyDoor, it can’t be edited in MyDoor. Go back to ServiceTitan and edit the customer or location information there if needed.
When you’re done creating your quote in MyDoor, email the quote to the customer by tapping Email Quote.
Tap Submit Response to send the quote information to ServiceTitan.
After the quote is sent to ServiceTitan, you’ll see a confirmation pop-up.
Tap Close to dismiss the confirmation.
Tap Checkout!
Get the customer’s signature, and then tap Finalize Order.
Go back to ServiceTitan.
Tap Sync Changes to ensure your changes are saved.
Tap Estimates. The quote from MyDoor shows up as an estimate.
Each line item on the estimate includes its price and other details.
Note: All line items on the estimate are called either Garage Door Item or Garage Door Service Item, meaning all items or services from MyDoor map to the same Pricebook item or service. See the Pricebook section of our knowledge base to learn more.
The estimate is named MyDoor Configuration by default. You can rename the estimate to something relevant to the job, if applicable.
Continue with your usual workflow to sell the estimate and finish the job. To learn more, see Present and sell estimates and Complete the job.
Create a quote for a garage door to sell later
If you’re a technician out in the field and a customer isn’t quite ready yet to buy a garage door on the spot, create the quote for an office employee to sell later:
From the ServiceTitan Mobile app, in the dashboard, tap View Current Job.
Tap Launch MyDoor.
If this is your first time using the MyDoor integration in ServiceTitan, sign in using your MyDoor username and password. You will not need to log in to MyDoor every time you launch the integration.
Note: Your MyDoor credentials aren’t the same as the ones you use for ServiceTitan. If you have issues with logging in, please contact the MyDoor administrator on your team or reach out to Clopay at helpdesk@clopay.com.
Your MyDoor account opens in your default browser.
Follow the standard MyDoor workflow to create a quote.
For more on how this works, see the Pricebook section of our knowledge base.
The estimate is named MyDoor Configuration by default. You can rename the estimate to something relevant to the job, if applicable.
Continue with your usual workflow to complete the job. To learn more, see Complete the job. Office employees can access information about and follow up on the unsold estimate in ServiceTitan as usual.
Sell a quote already created via the ServiceTitan MyDoor integration
If you are selling an existing quote as-is, process it in both ServiceTitan and MyDoor:
In ServiceTitan or the ServiceTitan mobile app, go to the relevant estimate. Leave ServiceTitan open.
In a separate browser window or tab, sign into MyDoor directly and locate the lead or quote with the same information as the estimate in ServiceTitan.
In MyDoor, click Checkout!
If applicable, get the customer’s signature, and then click Finalize Order.
Go back to ServiceTitan. Follow your standard workflow to complete the sale. To learn more, see Sell an open estimate or Sell a previously created estimate (ServiceTitan Mobile).
Edit an existing garage door quote
If you are an office employee and you are selling an existing quote that needs to be changed, you’ll need to edit the quote in MyDoor and create a new estimate in ServiceTitan before you sell it:
Log into MyDoor.
Go to the quote you need to edit and make your changes.
When you’re done editing the quote, click Save Quote For Later.
Email the quote to the customer by clicking Email Quote.
Click Submit Response to send the revised quote information to ServiceTitan.
After the quote is sent to ServiceTitan, you’ll see a confirmation pop-up.
Click Close to dismiss the confirmation.
In ServiceTitan, the edited quote appears on the existing job as a new estimate. To learn how to sell it, see Sell a quote already created via the ServiceTitan MyDoor Integration.
