Change payment term on an invoice or billLast updated on 09/09/2022

Payment terms can be changed for each individual invoice or bill. You might have an invoice or bill that is a one-off, in this case, you can extend a term to the customer that you typically would not.


Things to know

  • You can set any terms to an invoice or bill that is different than the default term of the customer or vendor only on your desktop. You can’t change terms on ServiceTitan Mobile.

  • Printed invoices on ServiceTitan Mobile will not reflect the Payment Term and Due Date fields. However, the printed invoice on desktop will reflect the Payment Term and Due Date. Email PDF of the invoice generated from both desktop and Mobile will reflect the Payment Term and Due Date fields.

  • Terms are not editable on the invoice or bill unless they are in a pending state

  • You can customize the due date in the Authorization Paragraph for each business unit. You can see this Authorization Paragraph when printing or emailing an invoice to a customer. For more on how to customize and edit a business unit, see How to add or edit business units.


Change payment term on an invoice or bill

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click the search icon.

  2. From the What do you want search for? dropdown select Invoice and click the green search icon.

  3. Select the invoice you want to edit the payment term.

  4. From the side menu, click Update payment term & due date.

  5. Select the term you want to apply to this invoice.

    • If you select Custom, then you can enter a due date of your choice specific only to this invoice.

  6. When you’re finished, click Save. The updated payment term selection is reflected in the invoice, and the due date is recalculated based on the new term.
