Attach materials to services or equipmentLast updated on 03/23/2022

Attach materials from your pricebook to services and equipment to help save time for your technicians and easily track material costs for accurate job cost reporting.


Things to know

  • Material costs do not appear on customer-facing estimates or invoices. For more information on this, see Price Setup Wizard.

  • Accurate material details inform technicians about what materials they need to complete a job.

  • You can also bulk link materials to services.


Attach materials to services or equipment

To attach materials to a service or equipment:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook

  2. In the side menu, click Services or Equipment. The Services or Equipment screen opens.

    Note: Click Mobile View to preview how items appear in ServiceTitan Mobile.

  3. Browse the table or use the search field to find the item you want to edit. You can search by code, name, or description. Tip: To filter the list of items, click Filters. You can filter based on category, sold hours, price, and other details. After setting your filters, click Apply.

  4. At the end of the item row, click Actions ⠇and select the View/Edit option.

  5. On the Edit screen, click the Materials tab. A list of categories displays.

  6. Expand the categories or use the search bar to find the desired material. Tip: You can search by name, code, or description.

  7. Select the materials that you want to add to the service or equipment. Selected items display on the right.

  8. Adjust the Qty if needed. Tip: Click minus — next to an item to remove it.

  9. When you're finished, click Save.
