# Why is my batch failing to post?

## Problem

The batch fails to post due to an invoice with materials that have no technicians assigned.

## Solution

1. [Search for](/v1/docs/use-search-in-servicetitan) and go to the invoice causing the issue.
2. Click **Edit** next to the materials section.
3. On the *Edit Material* screen, assign a technician in the *Technician* field.
4. When finished, click **Save**.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each material listed.
6. Post the batch again.
