# What is the purpose of internal notes in ServiceTitan?

What are internal notes? And why does it seem like internal notes are not useful?

## Solution

Internal notes are a feature from the early days of ServiceTitan and aren't widely used today. Here is what you need to know about internal notes:

- **Purpose:** Internal notes were meant to be office-side notes about customers.
- **Visibility:** These notes are only visible when editing a customer's profile.
- **Recommendation:** Use regular notes for jobs, locations, or customers instead of internal notes, as these are more effective.
