# Turn notifications on or off for any job

## Overview

You can turn job notifications on or off for any job. If customers might receive too many updates for a job, simply turn off notifications. This feature also works for projects.

## Turn on or off a notification

To turn job notifications on or off:

1. Go to the top toolbar and click **Search**![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/icon-gnav-legacy-search-outline.png)****.
2. Choose **Job**from the dropdown and apply filters as needed.
3. Click **Search ,**and then select the job of your choice.
4. Enable or disable the **Job Notifications** toggle.

> **Note:**Job Notifications is on by default (unless your company has different settings).
