Problem
You are unable to add a phone number to send and receive SMS messages for appointment reminders. You receive an error message that says the phone number does not belong to ServiceTitan.
Solution
If you try to add an Outbound SMS and Outbound MMS number in ServiceTitan so that you can text with it, the number must be a tracking number in ServiceTitan.
Note: If the phone number does not belong to ServiceTitan, follow this link to set up a call with the Telecom Team to port the number in.
Basic Phones Port In LinkOnce the number is integrated, go to Settings > Phones > Phone Numbers to add the Outbound SMS or Outbound MMS number.
In Settings, go to Communications > Customer Notifications.
Click Reminder Notifications and then select whether you want to send a Text, an Email, or both.
Click Save for each selection.
Do a hard refresh on your browser and Reminder notifications will start going out 24 hours before each appointment.
To do a hard refresh on an Apple device, select CMD+Shift+R.
To hard refresh on a Windows device, select Ctrl+Shift+R.
