# Set tax exempt status on a customer record

## Overview

If your customer is tax-exempt, set their customer record as *Non-Taxable*. This ensures that invoices are properly set as tax-exempt for the customer in ServiceTitan. It also provides more accurate invoicing for customers, so they don't get charged tax.
