# Resolve application error when emailing an invoice

## Problem

When trying to email an invoice, an application error occurs in ServiceTitan.

## Solution

There are multiple ways to resolve this error. You can:

- Check for corrupted files
- Check the customer notification preferences
- Clear your browser cache
- Go into incognito or private browsing mode

### Check for corrupted files

1. Go to the job associated with the invoice.
2. Check to see if there are any corrupted files attached to the job by clicking into the customer profile and selecting the **Attachments** section on the bottom left.
3. If there are corrupted files, click on the trash can icon to the right of the attachments to delete them.
4. Try to email the invoice again.

### Check the customer notification preferences

1. Go to the customer profile.
2. Click on the edit icon next to their name.
3. Scroll down to the section *Invoice and Statement Delivery.*
4. If not already checked, check the box next to *Email.*
5. When finished, click **Save.**
6. Try to email the invoice again.

### Clear your browser cache

After clearing your browser cache, log out and log back in ServiceTitan.

**Google Chrome**

Clear your Google Chrome browser cache by going to **Chrome > More > More tools > Clear browsing data**. Next, select the top 4 checkboxes. This will not delete any of your saved passwords.

**Safari**

To clear Safari's cache on a Mac, open Safari, go to **Safari > Preferences > Privacy**, and click **Manage Website Data**. Then, select the sites you want to clear or click "Remove All" to clear the entire cache.

### Go into incognito or private browsing mode

**Google Chrome**

In Chrome, click **More** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/resolve-application-error-when-emailing-an-invoice-image-vmb1uelh.png) **> New Incognito window**. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + N.

**Safari**

To open a private browsing window in Safari on a Mac, navigate to **File > New Private Window** in the Safari menu bar. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Shift + ⌘ + N.
