# Remove inactive bank accounts from the dropdown list when making a payment for a bill

## Problem

You see inactive bank accounts in the dropdown list when making payments and you want to remove these accounts.

## Solution

1. Go to **Settings > Accounting > General Ledger Accounts**.
2. Find the accounts you want to deactivate and click **Actions > Deactivate**.
3. Open a bill and make sure the accounts are no longer showing.
