You want these accounts to stop appearing so the list shows only the accounts you actually pay from. ## **Why this happens** There's one common reason. **Reason 1** **The bank accounts in the dropdown are General Ledger (GL) accounts that are still active.** ServiceTitan shows every active GL bank account in the payment dropdown, so an account you've stopped using keeps appearing until you deactivate its GL account. **Before you start** You need the **Edit general ledger accounts** permission to get access to **Settings > Accounting > General Ledger Accounts**. > [!NOTE] > **Caution:** Before you deactivate a bank GL account, make sure nothing is still linked to it. Deactivating a bank account that is still tied to transactions, or that has exported payments or deposits in its history, can cause export errors on those records that need Technical Support to fix. Deactivate only accounts you've genuinely stopped using. Some ServiceTitan-default GL accounts may not be deactivatable. ## **How to fix it** ### **1****Deactivate the bank account's GL account** 1. Go to **Settings > Accounting > General Ledger Accounts**. 2. Find the bank account you want to remove from the dropdown and click **Actions > Deactivate**. 3. Open a bill and confirm the account no longer appears in the payment dropdown. > [!NOTE] > **✓ Done ·** The deactivated bank accounts no longer show in the payment dropdown when you pay a bill. ## **Still not working?** Contact ServiceTitan Technical Support at [**go.servicetitan.com/ask**](https://go.servicetitan.com/ask) with: - The bank account name(s) still showing in the dropdown - Whether those GL accounts show as active or inactive in Settings - Whether the accounts are ServiceTitan-default accounts - Whether the account has any linked or previously exported transactions - Which steps from this article you already tried ## **Want to learn more?** [**Set up general ledger accounts ›**](https://help.servicetitan.com/docs/set-up-general-ledger-accounts) Add, configure, and manage GL accounts, including bank accounts.
