# Mapping Business Units to sub-classes in QBO - recommended workflow

## Things to know

- You cannot make payments or create invoices if the business units associated with the payments or invoices are not active in ServiceTitan. Business units deactivated in ServiceTitan will cause issues when exporting since the system does not recognize transactions tied to deactivated business units. Before exporting, make sure the business units associated with your transactions are active.
