Overview

The Feature Configurations screen lets you browse and enable or disable features for your account in ServiceTitan. This helps you understand the features available in ServiceTitan and allows you to leverage those features for your business without having to contact customer support.

Note: Certain features listed in the Feature Configurations screen cannot be enabled or disabled instantly. But you can quickly request access or removal to these configurations through the Feature Configurations screen. For more, see Enable feature configurations.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators

  • Applies to all business types

Feature configuration

  • Account configuration is required to use this feature. Please contact Technical Support for details.

Things to know

  • This feature is available in your Next environment so you can understand the impact of certain features on your business workflows. We recommend you test configurations in your Next environment first before enabling them in your live environment.

  • The Feature Configurations screen is only available to office employees designated as Admin.

  • Based on customer feedback, we have excluded this Feature Configurations screen from customers with multiple ServiceTitan accounts. Please reach out to your customer success manager to have this enabled.

Feature configuration overview

To access the Feature Configurations screen:

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings .

  2. In the side panel, click Your Account > Feature Configuration.

  3. On the Feature Configurations screen that opens, you can browse through the different configurations you can enable for your account.

You can view the following information on the Feature Configurations screen:

  • Name and Description: The name and a brief overview of how the configuration works.

  • Category: The configurations are organized by categories based on their functionality.

  • Status: This indicates whether the configuration is turned on/off, or the current state of an access/removal request. This column also shows the date and time when the feature configuration was last modified.

  • Actions: Lets you perform actions on the configuration such as enable, disable, and more.

Search for feature configurations

Use the search bar at the top the Feature Configurations screen to search for specific configurations. You can search by name, description, and category.

Filter feature configurations

You can filter the configurations by category, status, and available actions.

To filter the configuration:

  1. Locate the column by which you want to filter and click Filter   on the column header.

  2. In the dropdown, select the category, status, or action by which you want to filter. 

  3. The Feature Configurations table refreshes and lists configurations based on the filters you choose.

Enable feature configurations

The feature configurations listed on the table fall into two categories:

  • Features you can enable instantly

  • Features you need to request for access

Features you can enable instantly

You can enable certain features instantly in the Feature Configurations screen.

To enable features instantly:

  1. On the Feature Configurations screen, locate the feature you want to enable.

  2. On the Actions column, turn on the Enable toggle. 

  3. The status for that feature configuration changes to On.

Features you need to request for access

Certain features in the Feature Configurations screen can only be enabled or disabled by request.

To initiate a request for access or removal:

  1. On the Feature Configurations screen, locate the feature you want to enable or disable.

  2. On the Actions column:        

    • Click Request Access if you want that feature enabled.

    • Click Request Removal if you want that feature disabled. 

The status for that feature configuration changes to Access Requested or Removal Requested.

A request is then sent to ServiceTitan for access or removal of that feature. It may take up to 24 hours for you to receive a response to your request.

Note: If you want to cancel a request, click Cancel Request.
