# How to change the billing and service locations of a service agreement?

## Problem

You cannot edit the service locations tied to a service agreement once the agreement is on *Activated* status. If the service agreement is created to cover multiple locations you can change the billing address to one of the other location addresses that are covered in the service agreement.

## Solution

Follow these steps to update the billing location on a service agreement. You can change the billing address of a service agreement if there are multiple locations attached to the service agreement. If there is only one location attached, you need to create a new service agreement for the new location.

Remember, if you need to change the service locations for an agreement that is already on *Activated* status, you need to create a new agreement for those locations.

#### Changing the Recurring Billing Location

If the service agreement is already on *Activated* status:

1. Go to the customer's profile.
2. Click on the **Service Agreements** tab.
3. Select the service agreement you want to update.
4. Go to the **Billing and Invoices** tab.
5. Click on the pencil next to the *Billing Address*.
6. Choose the correct service location for recurring billing from the list of locations already tied to the service agreement.

If the service agreement is in *Draft* status:

1. Go to the customer's profile.
2. Click on the **Service Agreements** tab.
3. Select the service agreement you want to update.
4. Make sure that the new location is added in the *Locations and Contracts* tab.
5. Go to the **Billing Schedule and Payment Terms** tab.
6. Edit the **Billing Address**, and select the right location address.

#### Creating a New Service Agreement for Different Locations

If you need to associate the service agreement with a different location that is not already tied to the service agreement, you must create a new service agreement.

1. Go to the customer's profile where you need to add a new service agreement.
2. Click on the **Service Agreements** tab.
3. Click **Add Service Agreement**.
4. Fill in the details for the new service agreement, including selecting the correct service location.
5. Save the new service agreement.
