# How do I change a service agreement billing schedule from quarterly to monthly?

## Problem

You want to change the billing schedule from quarterly to monthly for a service agreement that has already been activated. When an agreement is activated, certain fields, such as the Scope of Work and start date become locked and cannot be edited.

## Solution

After activating a service agreement, the billing schedule cannot be changed. You must create a new service agreement with the desired billing schedule.

> **Caution:** Canceling a Service Agreement takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. You can't change the Service Agreement status once it is canceled.

#### Create a new Service Agreement

1. Go to the customer profile with the active service agreement.
2. Go to the **Service Agreements** tab.
3. Review the current service agreement details.
4. Go to the customer profile and click **Create New Service Agreement**.
5. Enter the customer's information and service details.
6. In the *Billing Schedule and Payment Terms* section set the billing schedule to **Monthly**.
7. Review the new agreement for accuracy.
8. Save and activate the new service agreement.
