# How do I hide discounts and fees from technicians and include them in estimates with the membership sales task?

## Problem

Technicians can see discount codes in pricebook. You want only certain users, like office employees, to see and use these codes.

## Solution

You can control who sees discounts and fees in your pricebook and ensure they are included in estimates when using the membership sales task.

### Hide a discount task

1. Go to the navigation bar and click **Pricebook.**
2. Search for the discount task in your pricebook.
3. Edit the discount task.
4. Scroll down to the **Category** field.
5. Remove the category and make sure it's blank.
6. When finished, click **Save**.

### Include discounts in estimates with membership sales task

1. Go to the navigation bar and click **Settings ![A simple icon representing a settings gear. ](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/icon-gnav-settings-inactive.png).**
2. In the side panel, click **Invoicing > Membership Types**.
3. Find the membership you want to edit and click **Edit**.
4. Scroll down to the *Discounts* section.
5. Include the category you created for discounts and fees under this section. This ensures that when the membership sales task is used in an estimate, the discounts and fees from this category are automatically applied.
