# GL Account Mapping Issue between ServiceTitan and QuickBooks Online

## Problem

The GL account mapping between ServiceTitan and QBO is causing an issue. A GL account for checking is set as an *asset* type and *bank* subtype in ServiceTitan. However, in QuickBooks Online, the account is set as *Banks* type with *checking* subtype. When trying to change the GL account in QuickBooks Online, the **bank(s)** option is not available under the **Save account under** field.

## Solution

Types with Subtypes do not exist in QuickBooks Online. Instead, you can have Types and Detail Type. In QuickBooks Online, you need to make sure that transactions go into the correct account.

You can create an asset account and name it *"Bank"* so you are able to select that account when selecting *Bank*. The transactions are still set as *assets.*

To create a new account in QuickBooks Online:

1. Switch to Business View.
2. Go to Charts of Accounts and click **New**.
3. Select **Asset** as the *Account Type* and name it *"Bank"*.
4. Save the new account.
5. When selecting **Bank** for transactions, choose the newly created **Bank** account.
6. The transactions will still be recorded as **Asset**.
