## Difference between a visit and a job

When creating a service agreement, in the *Scope of Work* step, you can add visits. Visits are placeholders for future work accounted for in the service agreement. Jobs are booked from the visit and represent the actual work that is completed for the service agreement.

When adding visits to the service agreement, make sure to fill out as much detail for the visit as possible. This information is pre-populated when booking the job, which saves you time and ensures the correct information is added to a job.

We recommend that you turn on the following job booking settings in order to send as much information about the visit as possible to the job when booking the job:

- [Set up ability to attach equipment to a job](/v1/docs/set-up-ability-to-attach-equipment-to-a-job)
- [Configure fields on the job booking screen](/v1/docs/configure-fields-on-the-job-booking-screen)
