# Create and edit custom dashboards

## Overview

Create customized dashboards using a drag and drop interface so the business metrics that are important to you are available to you in one view, in real-time.

## Things to know

- To create or edit dashboard modules, make sure you have the correct [dashboard permissions](/v1/docs/manage-global-dashboard-permissions) enabled. Contact your account administrator for help. You can [apply custom filters](/v1/docs/manage-custom-dashboard-filters) to a custom dashboard. For example, you can apply separate filters to modules or set custom default values to modules.

## Create a custom dashboard

1. Go to the navigation bar and click **Dashboard**.

4. The dashboard editor opens with a new section for you to edit:
  1.   2. To add a module:
    1. Click **Add Module**.

> **Tip:** To delete a section, next to the section name, click **More** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/icon-more-vert.png) and select **Delete**.
5. Add more sections and modules or, if you’re finished, click **Save**.

> **Tip:** To set the custom dashboard as your default dashboard, click the **Bookmark** icon next to the dashboard name.

Edit and arrange a custom dashboard

1. Go to the navigation bar and click **Dashboard**.

4. To rearrange and edit the dashboard:
  1.   3. Click **Delete** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/icon-delete.png) for a module to remove it from the dashboard.
  4. Click **Add Module** to add a module.
  5. Click **Add Section** to add a dashboard section.
5. When you’re done editing the dashboard, click **Save**.
