Create and edit custom dashboards

Overview

Create customized dashboards using a drag and drop interface so the business metrics that are important to you are available to you in one view, in real-time.

Things to know

• To create or edit dashboard modules, make sure you have the correct dashboard permissions enabled. Contact your account administrator for help. You can apply custom filters to a custom dashboard. For example, you can apply separate filters to modules or set custom default values to modules.

Create a custom dashboard

1. Go to the navigation bar and click Dashboard.

2. Click the Modular Dashboard dropdown and select Create Dashboard.
   

3. Enter a name for your dashboard in the Dashboard Name field and click Create.
   

4. The dashboard editor opens with a new section for you to edit:

   1. To rename the section, next to the section name, click More and select Edit Name.
      

   2. To add a module:

      1. Click Add Module.

      2. From the Module Type dropdown, select Modular Dashboard modules.
         

         Note: For custom KPI, report, and visualization modules, see Create and edit custom dashboard modules.

      3. Select a Modular Dashboard module and click Add.
         

   3. To create a new dashboard section, click Add Section.
      
      

      Tip: To delete a section, next to the section name, click More and select Delete.

5. Add more sections and modules or, if you’re finished, click Save.

Tip: To set the custom dashboard as your default dashboard, click the Bookmark icon next to the dashboard name.

Edit and arrange a custom dashboard

1. Go to the navigation bar and click Dashboard.

2. Click the Modular Dashboard dropdown and select the custom dashboard you want to edit.
   

3. Click Edit Dashboard.
   
   The dashboard editor opens.

4. To rearrange and edit the dashboard:

   1. Click Drag for a module and drag it to move its place on the dashboard.
      

   2. Click and drag the lower corner of a module to resize it.
      

   3. Click Delete for a module to remove it from the dashboard.

   4. Click Add Module to add a module.

   5. Click Add Section to add a dashboard section.

5. When you’re done editing the dashboard, click Save.
