What is the process for changing the job number sequence in ServiceTitan and how can it be set to start with a specific number?

Problem

You need to change the starting number for jobs. You can submit a request for this in Settings > Your Account > Featuring Configurations using the Job number seed feature configuration.

Solution

You can request to change the starting number for jobs. Job numbers will then ascend in order from the new starting number. To submit this request, you'll need your administrator PIN.

Caution: Changing the starting number for jobs may lead to discrepancies between job numbers, job URLs, and invoice numbers. For example, a job numbered 12 might correspond to an invoice numbered 29 and have the URL go.servicetitan.com/#/Job/Index/234.

Request a job number seed change

1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings.

2. In the side panel, go to Your Account > Feature Configurations.

3. Find the Job number seed feature configuration in the list.

4. Click Request Change.

5. Fill out the request form that opens, including the desired starting number for your job numbers.

6. Click Request change to submit.
