Change the default purchase order type from special order to standard

Problem

The PO type defaults to Special Order when Standard is desired.

Solution

To resolve this issue, you will need to go to the PO Types settings screen and set your PO type default to the correct one.

Change the default purchase order type from special order to standard

Follow these steps to set the default PO type to Standard:

  1. Go to Settings in ServiceTitan.

  2. Select Purchasing.

  3. Select Purchase Order Types.

  4. Find Standard in the list and select Edit next to it.

  5. Check the box for Default to make Standard the default PO type.

  6. Save your changes.

Now, when you create a PO, the order type will automatically be set to Standard instead of Special Order.
