Overview
This article shows you how to build a report that lists every payment entered in your account for a date range. There are two ways to do it: one for accounts using Payment Collections, and one for accounts that are not. Use the version that matches your account so you see a complete, accurate list of payments for the period.
Who uses this feature
Administrators, accountants, bookkeepers, and office managers
Applies to all business types
Applies to all trades
Feature configuration
Which workflow applies depends on whether your account uses Payment Collections. Confirm this before you start—each workflow only works for the account configuration it is written for.
Customers on the Starter or Essentials packages can't build a custom report from the report templates used here. Use a prebuilt report that shares the same template instead. Building a custom report from these templates is available on The Works package.
Things to know
Each workflow below only works for the account configuration noted. Pick the one that matches your account.
The Payment Collections workflow uses the All Payments report; the non–Payment Collections workflow uses the Applied Payments template (the Deposit Detail report).
Build the report if you use Payment Collections
On the navigation bar, click Reports.
In the search bar at the top of the page, type All Payments and click the prebuilt report named All Payments. (On The Works package, you can instead create a custom report and select the All Payments template under the Accounting report type.)
Select the Payment Date range you want the report to cover.
Select all three Payment Status options: Pending, Posted, and Exported.
Leave all other fields blank and click Run Report to see all payments entered within the time frame.

Build the report if you do NOT use Payment Collections
On the navigation bar, click Reports.
Click the Templates dropdown (second to the right of the search bar) and select Applied Payments. Then select the report called Deposit Detail. (On The Works package, you can instead create a custom report and select the Applied Payments template under the Accounting report type.)
Change the Filter By at the top of the report to Paid On.
Select the date range in the From–To filter to the right of Filter By.
Set the Business Unit filter to All.
Click Run Report to see all payments entered within the time frame.
