# Book a Technician-Generated Lead job from an incoming call

## Overview

If you’ve [set recall, warranty, and lead guides](/v1/docs/set-recall-warranty-and-lead-job-booking-guides), you can book a new job as a *Lead*, automatically giving the technician responsible for generating the *Lead* credit. If the lead was generated by a service technician while on a job, the new job is automatically linked to the original service job.

- If you’ve [set recall, warranty, and lead guides](/v1/docs/set-recall-warranty-and-lead-job-booking-guides), you can book a new job as a Technician-Generated Lead (TGL).
- If you haven’t set recall, warranty, and lead guides, you can [book a recall or warranty job from an existing job](/v1/docs/book-a-recall-job-from-an-existing-job).
- You can award TGL bonuses by [creating payroll adjustments](/v1/docs/create-payroll-adjustments) or, if you use Configurable Payroll, you can [create pay rules](/v1/docs/set-up-and-manage-payroll-profiles) to award bonuses for setting a TGL or if a TGL results in a completed job.

## Book a technician-generated lead job from an incoming call

1. 2. Click **Lead**. *Create a Lead* opens.

> **Tip**: Click **Learn More** to learn more about how and when to select Lead jobs.

4. Select the employee who should receive credit for the lead.

> **Note:** The employee who generated the lead should receive credit for the lead. This employee may be different from the technician who completed the job.
6. Finish [booking the job](/v1/docs/book-a-job).

> **Tip:** Click the **Lead** indicator in the Job Summary to see the original job.
