Use case
Your office is closed on a holiday and you need to block out all appointments for that day.
Assign blocked dates (Legacy workflow)
Blocked dates work nearly the same as buffers, except they allow you to define an exact window of time to block rather than a rolling window.
With blocked dates, you can:
Define the blocked date area, including branches and service code zones.
Define services, including trades and service codes.
Set date durations for blocked dates.
Create descriptive labels for blocked dates to delineate between buffers.
To set up blocked dates:
Go to https://provider.scheduleengine.net/settings/operations/advanced-scheduling/blockers.
Click Settings > Advanced Scheduling and go to theBlocked Dates tab.

Click the Add button.
On the New Blocked Dates window that opens, select the branches and service zones to which you would like to assign a blocked date and click Next.
(Optional) You can choose to apply your selections to all trades and service codes for the blocked dates by checking the box next to this option

Define the trade and service codes for your selected blocked dates and click Next.
