[Double Opt-In Feature](/construction/docs/why-did-customers-get-this-your-home-will-thank-you-email-campaign#double-optin-feature) 2. [Edit or Turn Off Double Opt-In](/construction/docs/why-did-customers-get-this-your-home-will-thank-you-email-campaign#edit-or-turn-off-double-optin) ### Double Opt-In Feature The "Your Home Will Thank You" email is a result of the **Double Opt-In** feature of Marketing Pro. Double Opt-in is intended to improve deliverability from your marketing email domain and to reduce SPAM rates by confirming with the customer whether they actually want to receive marketing content from the company. When a company enables Double Opt-In for the first time, all existing customer profiles should automatically get tagged as ***Opted In*** at once. What happens with new customers is they'll receive the automated "Your Home Will Thank You" opt-in email upon completing a job with the company, usually later that same day the job was completed. > [!NOTE] > **Note:** With Double Opt-In enabled, customers must be tagged as *Opted In* in order to receive marketing emails. If a customer appears in the audience reach but is not tagged as *Opted In*, they won't be able to receive the campaign email. If the feature is turned off, then no more opt-in emails will go out, and all customers should then be open to Marketing Pro emails as long as they aren't suppressed in any other way. Follow the steps in the next [Edit or Turn Off Double Opt-In](/construction/docs/why-did-customers-get-this-your-home-will-thank-you-email-campaign#edit-or-turn-off-double-optin) section. ### Edit or Turn Off Double Opt-In Double Opt-In can be edited or turned off entirely in the Marketing Pro Settings. Something to keep in mind is that disabling Double Opt-In could potentially lead to worse email delivery and a higher likelihood of marketing emails being flagged as SPAM, but following general email marketing best practices can help minimize the chance of those things occurring. 1. In ServiceTitan, click on the gear icon in the top navigation bar to access the General Settings. 2. In the Settings left-hand menu, go to *Marketing Pro > Marketing*. 3. Scroll down to the **Double Opt-In** section. - You can edit the following fields for the automated opt-in email if desired: - Subject Line - Header - Body Copy - Button Text - You can also click the *Preview Email* button to get a popup of what the opt-in email will look like on the customer's end. - To turn off Double Opt-In entirely, click the green *Enable* toggle so it turns gray, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click *Save Changes*. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/why-did-customers-get-this-your-home-will-thank-you-email-campaign-image-50gldoq9.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-30T23%3A47%3A25Z&se=2026-10-31T00%3A47%3A25Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=KGqNHQdYf2p0pS1m3BMHu7Ofc0l19mpk9FrwAi977cs%3D) ### Related Content - [Manage Marketing Pro settings](/v1/docs/manage-marketing-pro-settings) ServiceTitan's integrated marketing automation platform for email, SMS, direct mail, and digital ad campaigns. **What it does:** Drives new customer acquisition and repeat revenue by automating targeted campaigns across multiple channels — all tied to actual job revenue. **Also called:** ST Marketing, Marketing automation **Tags:** Marketing Pro [See the full glossary →](https://help.servicetitan.com/docs/glossary-overview)
