This happens if a deactivated technician has a 100% Split. ## Solution Follow the steps below to sell an estimate with a deactivated technician. ### Sell an estimate with a deactivated technician assigned to a job 1. Go to the specific invoice with the error. 2. Click **Adjust splits**. 3. Click **Add another**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/why-cant-i-sell-an-estimate-with-a-deactivated-technician-assigned-to-a-job-image-4du8istt.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T03%3A48%3A49Z&se=2026-10-31T04%3A48%3A49Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=o6TnweUJoBbVw7U%2BY4lJaXuQ3uwYwoPYSVZk5fYi1So%3D) 4. Assign a managed technician from the dropdown. 5. Set the split (sold hour) to 100% for the active managed technician and set 0% for the deactivated technician. 6. When finished, click **Save**. Split determines how much credit each technician is getting for the job. For example: If two technicians perform work on a job, the split could be an even 50%-50%, or it could be 75%-25% if the first technician did a bulk of the work. By default 100% of the technician split will go to the first technician assigned to the job.
