You need to return this part from the office side by creating an adjustment invoice, adding a return to the adjustment, and possibly order a new part. ## Solution ### Create an adjustment invoice and add a return 1. Search for the invoice that you need to complete the return for. 2. Click **Add an adjustment invoice**. 3. On the invoice record screen that opens, from the side menu, click **Add a return**. 4. On the *Create Return* screen that opens, enter the [return details](/construction/docs/create-and-complete-a-return). 5. Go to the *Item List* section. 6. From the **Select an item** dropdown, select the item you want to add. 7. In the **Quantity** field, select the quantity you want to return. 8. When you have entered the return details and added all items, click **Save**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/what-is-the-process-for-making-returns-in-servicetitans-purchasing-module-on-exported-invoices-image-1zkn0677.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T05%3A59%3A20Z&se=2026-10-31T06%3A59%3A20Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6kgcbFanBgnWkMw8Usc9%2FU%2FfO0c8O844qCjg5XuCITw%3D) 9. If you need to replace the returned part with a different part, open the adjustment invoice, click **Add a purchase order**, and fill out the purchase order's details.
