Instead, the batch shows as exported, and you can't tell whether it was truly exported or bypassed. There's no built-in "bypassed batches" report, and you may also need to know who exported or bypassed the batch. **Where you see it:** Accounting > Batch / Export Transactions **Where you fix it:** Reports > Create Report, and Accounting > Accounting Audit Trail ## **Why this happens** **Reason 1** **Export status is stored on each invoice, not on the batch.** When you bypass a batch, ServiceTitan marks its invoices as exported so they lock, but it doesn't send them to your accounting software. In reporting, those invoices carry an **Invoice Status** of **Bypassed**, which is different from **Exported**. A custom report can show the batch number next to that status. Accounting reports, including payment and AR reports, show **Bypassed** separately from **Exported** in their export status columns and filters. A bypassed transaction still counts as exported in ServiceTitan. **Bypassed** tells you it was never sent to your accounting software. **Reason 2** **Prebuilt reports don't group invoices by batch.** You can filter a prebuilt Invoices report by **Invoice Status**, but it won't show batch numbers. **Reason 3** **Reports don't show who exported or bypassed a transaction.** That's recorded in the Accounting Audit Trail. A bypass is recorded as its own entry, separate from a true export, and shows whether it was manual or automatic. Manual bypasses show the employee and the time. Automatic bypasses are attributed to the system. ## **How to fix it** > [!NOTE] > **Before you start** > > - To use the Accounting Audit Trail (Check 3), you need the *Allow view Audit Trail page* permission. If you don't have it, contact your admin. > - You need permission to create and run custom reports (Checks 1 and 2). > - Bypass entries in the Accounting Audit Trail cover invoices, payments, and credit memos. Bills, vendor payments, and vendor credits aren't included yet. > - If you have a saved report filtered to **Exported**, it no longer includes bypassed transactions. To include them, add **Bypassed** to the filter. Run these checks in order. Most issues are resolved by Check 1. ### **1****Build a custom report (shows the batch number)** **Create the report** 1. On the navigation bar, click **Reports**. 2. Click **Create Report**. 3. In *Choose report type*, select **All**. 4. In *Select a report template*, select **Invoices**. 5. In *Columns to be displayed in the report*, select **Invoice Status** and **Batch Number**. 6. Click **Next**. 7. Enter a name for the report and select a category. **Run and filter the report** 1. Click **Save**. 2. Select a date range that includes the transactions in your batch. 3. Click **Run Report**. 4. Filter the **Invoice Status** column to show **Bypassed** or **Exported**. **Exported** shows only invoices that were sent to your accounting software. 5. To see only one batch, filter the **Batch Number** column to that batch. 6. To add more detail, click **Edit Columns**, add the columns you want (for example, payment details), click **Save**, and run the report again. > [!NOTE] > **✓ Done ·** The report lists each invoice with its batch number and shows whether it was exported or bypassed. ### **2****If you'd rather use a prebuilt report** 1. On the navigation bar, click **Reports**. 2. In the **Templates** filter, select **Invoices**. 3. Select a built-in report that includes the **Invoice Status** field, such as **Revenue by Job Type**, **Invoice Summary by Business Unit**, **Empty Invoices**, or **Sold by Sales Detail Report by Completion Date**. 4. Run the report, then filter the **Invoice Status** column to show **Bypassed**. Built-in reports may apply their own filters or grouping — adjust or remove those as needed. > [!NOTE] > **✓ Done ·** The report shows bypassed invoices. > [!NOTE] > **Note:** Prebuilt reports don't organize invoices by batch, so use Check 1 if you need batch numbers. > [!NOTE] > **Tip:** To find bypassed payments instead of invoices, run the **All Payments** or **AR Transactions** report and filter its export status column (**Payment Status** in All Payments) to **Bypassed**. ### **3****To see who exported or bypassed it, check the Accounting Audit Trail** 1. On the navigation bar, click **Accounting**. 2. In the side menu, click **Accounting Audit Trail**. 3. Set the **Record Type** filter to **Invoice**. 4. In the search bar, enter the invoice number or record ID. 5. Find the invoice and click **View Details**. 6. Review the export or bypass entry. The **User Name** column shows who did it, and the **Date and Time** column shows when. > [!NOTE] > **✓ Done ·** The entry shows whether the invoice was exported or bypassed, whether a bypass was manual or automatic, and who did it and when. Automatic bypasses show the system instead of an employee. > [!NOTE] > **Tip:** You can also open an invoice record and click the **View Audit Trail** icon to go straight to that invoice's history. The job's **History** section also still logs invoice bypasses. ## **Still not working?** Contact ServiceTitan Technical Support at [**go.servicetitan.com/ask**](https://go.servicetitan.com/ask) with: - The batch number and invoice numbers you're checking - The report type or template you used, and the filter you applied to **Invoice Status** - What the Accounting Audit Trail showed for the invoice, if anything - Your accounting integration (for example, QuickBooks Online, Intacct, or NetSuite) - Which checks from this article you already tried ## **Want to learn more?** [**Understand Accounting Audit Trail ›**](/construction/docs/understand-accounting-audit-trail) See who exported or bypassed a transaction and review its full change history.
