You need to create a copy of the estimate, which will have today's date. ## Solution By following these steps, you can ensure your estimate has the correct date without directly changing the original document. ### Edit the estimate date 1. Go to the estimate you want to update. 2. Duplicate the estimate. 3. Click on the duplicate ![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/what-is-the-process-for-changing-the-estimate-date-on-an-existing-estimate-image-a8kpfccs.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T03%3A47%3A15Z&se=2026-10-31T04%3A47%3A15Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=7jxZEY66kgUa4hxCAoInm7uNoyI3Y4RnAGbRCAYcfKA%3D). This action creates a new estimate with the same details as the original. 4. The new estimate will automatically have today's date. 5. To remove the old estimate, click on **Dismiss** to remove the old estimate from your records.
