# Update Booking Sold Estimate settings

## Overview

Use the *Booking Sold estimates* settings to allow jobs booked from sold estimates to automatically inherit the summary and attachments on the estimate. This helps reduce manual copy/pasting of summaries and reattaching files when converting estimates to jobs.

## Things to know

- Attachments only carry over from location or job estimates, not project estimates.
- The estimate summary is inherited for all estimate types.

> **Coming ST-80**
> 
> If **Exclude pricebook images from estimate attachments** is turned on in **Settings > Estimates > General**, pricebook images are not saved as estimate attachments. Because they are never attachments, they are automatically excluded from job carryover when **Copy job/location estimate attachments over to job** is enabled. Non-pricebook attachments (site photos, findings, manually uploaded files) still carry over as expected. For more, see [Manage Estimates settings](/construction/docs/manage-estimates-settings).

## Enable Booking Sold Estimate settings

1. 2. In the side panel, go to **Operations > Booking Sold Estimate**.
3. Use the toggles to enable the following:
  1. **Copy estimate summary onto job summary**: This automatically fills in the job summary with the estimate summary when you book a job from the sold estimate.

4. When you're finished, you can exit the screen.

A sales tech sells an estimate. -or- A service, maintenance, or install tech sells an estimate. -or- A CSR sells an estimate over the phone. Let's say the estimate total is below the sold threshold (the customer wants to schedule the work, but hasn't fully decided).
