# Process Sears cards as form of payment

## Overview

Same as with other credit cards supported by ServiceTitan, Sears Private Label and Sears MasterCard cards can be used as a form of payment when customers pay for equipment or services rendered, expanding your team's selling and job booking capabilities while allowing customers more options.

## Things to know

- You can add card information and keep the info on file for future services—same as with other major credit cards in ServiceTitan—should your customer choose to do that.
- The following Sears cards are supported: Sears Private Label Card - "504994 (Sears traditional, Home Improvements)"; Sears Commercial One Card - "540553"; and Sears Gift Cards - "6000 0000 0000 0000" through "6999 9999 9999 9999" (except Discover Card ranges, which start at 6011).
- To help your customer take more control over their Sears payment durations, you can defer interest, too, when processing a Sears card. For more details, see [Defer interest for Sears cardholders](/construction/docs/process-sears-cards-as-form-of-payment#defer-interest-for-sears-cardholders).
- This feature is for Sears tenants only. If you're not currently a tenant, see the account configuration note above.

## Add Sears cards as payment in ServiceTitan

When using ServiceTitan at the office, you can add Sears card payments to any invoice.

1. Search the number of the invoice to which you want to add payment.
2. Click **Add a payment**.
3. In Add a payment, go to the Type field and select the dropdown to add a payment type. Select the Sears card that applies.
4. Click **Charge**.
5. In Charge Credit Card, enter the payment amount and the credit card information. If the customer requests to keep their Sears credit card on file, select the **Store payment date for future transactions** checkbox.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:** For Sears Gift Cards, CVV/EXP/ZIP code is not used. PINs on back of some gift cards are also not used.
6. When you're done, click **Charge**. If you want to defer interest for the customer, see the next section, Defer interest for Sears cardholders.

## Defer interest for Sears cardholders

You can elect to defer interest for customers who use a Sears card, allowing them more control over their payments.

> **Note:** Before you can opt to defer interest, set up the duration periods from which to choose when deferring payments for a customer: Go to *Settings* > *Integrations* > *Payment Processing*. Click the check boxes to select the duration periods you want. When you're done, click **Save**. You're ready to process Sears cards and offer deferred interest to your customers!

This is available in ServiceTitan, not in ServiceTitan Mobile.

To defer interest when processing a Sears card payment:

1. 2. Select a duration.
3. When you're done, click **Save**.

## Apply Sears cards as payment in ServiceTitan Mobile

Your technicians can take Sears cards as payment and save the information when out in the field. Note that all Sears cards must be entered manually. Swiping does not work with this feature. To process a Sears card:

1. In Dashboard, click **View Current Job**.
2. Go to the side navigation and click **Invoice**.
3. In Invoice, click **Pay**.
4. Click the **Choose payment type** dropdown and select a Sears card that applies.
5. Manually enter the payment amount and credit card information. If the customer requests to keep their Sears credit card on file, select the **Store payment data for future transactions** box.

> **Note:** For Sears Gift Cards, CVV/EXP/ZIP code is not used. PINs on back of some gift cards are also not used.
6. Click **Charge**.
7. The technician must ask the customer to sign and click **Accept**.
