In this article, you can read about multiple versions of guided setups and recommended workflows for implementing the project management feature into your business. However, you aren't restricted to a single setup/workflow and you can add, customize, and track multiple workflows in the same account simultaneously, according to your business needs. --- ### #### Who uses this feature - **For core project management setup and workflow:** Any business using project management - **For phase management setup and workflow:** Any business that runs and completes its projects in phases - Primarily for Residential Construction and Commercial Construction business types - Applies to all trades ## Things to know - Read the [Introduction to project management](/construction/docs/introduction-to-project-management) before deciding which project management approach to use: either the core or phased setup and workflow. - We recommend the core project management setup as our base setup for project management use, which includes best practices. Additional recommended workflows build off of this core setup and introduce more granular cost and revenue tracking for your projects. - The phase management setup and workflow is typically used in the Construction industry to track cost types, such as labor, material, equipment, at a more granular phase level. - The phase management setup and workflow supports Progress Billing. - You can run multiple workflows/setup in a single account. - **Example:** A Residential HVAC Service and Construction company typically runs a variation of our **Core Setup Workflow** for their Residential Service Division workflows and our **Phased Setup & Workflow** for their Construction Division workflows. ## Choose a project management method Review the following sections and pick the setup and workflow best suited for your business.
