# Log in to Convex

## Overview

Getting started with your Convex account requires two steps: the initial login, where you set up your account and password for the first time, and the regular login, for everyday access. This process ensures your account is configured and ready for use.

## Initial Log In phase

After Convex creates an account in the system for you, you can complete the sign-up process the first time you access the website.

1. Go to the [Atlas-Convex](https://atlas.convexlabs.io/login) website.
2. 3. 4. Create an eight-digit password.

> **Note:** Convex doesn't use temporary passwords so this will be the first time you are creating and entering your password.
5. ## Log in to Convex after the initial setup

After initial setup, you can log in to your account following these steps:

1. Go to the [Atlas-Convex](https://atlas.convexlabs.io/login) website.
2. 3. 4. Enter your password and click **Continue**.

## Reset password

If you forget your password, follow these steps:

1. 2. On the *Forgot Your Password* screen that opens, enter your email address and click **Continue.**
3. You will receive an email directing you to create a new password. 4. 5.
