# Inventory templates in Pricebook

## Overview

The *Inventory templates* section in Pricebook allows you to add or remove items from templates as well as update the minimum and maximum quantities of items. The minimum and maximum quantity of items help you to determine when the item is replenished at that location, and in what quantity.

## Add items to inventory templates

1. Go to the navigation bar and click **Pricebook**![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/icon-gnav-pricebook-inactive.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T01%3A42%3A53Z&se=2026-10-31T02%3A42%3A53Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=l1yUC8VCNCe5sHqPMSq%2FLMo%2BPazh3F92WqmXp0fpFo0%3D). From the side menu, select **Materials** or **Equipment**.
2. Select the item you want to add to the inventory template.
3. From the **Actions** dropdown field, select *View/Edit Equipment*. The *Edit Equipment* page opens.

> **Note:** In the case of **Materials**, the **Edit Materials** page would open.

> **Note:** If inventory tracking is not turned on for the item, see [Enable inventory tracking for equipment and material](/construction/docs/enable-inventory-tracking-for-equipment-and-material-1) and complete those steps.
5. Click the **Inventory Templates** card. The *Inventory Templates* page opens.
6. Update the items on the template:
  1. Under the **On Template** column, select **Yes** to add the item to the inventory template.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:** If you select **No**, the item will be removed from the template and the fields will be inactive.
  2. Under the **Min** and **Max** columns, enter a minimum and maximum quantity of the item.
  3. Under the **Bin Location** column, enter the bin location of the item. 7. When you're finished, click **Save**.

## Add items to inventory templates in bulk

1. Select the item you want to add to the inventory template.
2. From the **Actions** dropdown field, select *View/Edit Equipment*. The *Edit Equipment* page opens.

> **Note:** In the case of **Materials**, the **Edit Materials** page would open.
3. Click the **Inventory Settings** tab. There, click the **Inventory Templates** card. The *Inventory Templates* page opens.

> **Tip:** Click **Select All** to add all items.
5. Select **Yes** to add the items to the inventory template and enter a minimum and maximum quantity of the items.
6. Click **Bulk Update**. > **Note:** If you select **No**, the item is removed from the template and the fields become inactive.
7. When you're finished, click **Apply**.
