# How to prevent technicians from completing their own jobs in ServiceTitan?

## Problem

You want to prevent technicians from completing their own jobs but don't know how to configure this in ServiceTitan.

## Solution

There isn't a way to prevent techs from completing their jobs. However, a workaround could be to enable the *Pause on an appointment* permission.

### Change your technician settings

1. 2. In the side panel, click **People > Technicians**.
3. Find the technician you want to update and click **Edit**.
4. Click the **Permissions** tab.
5.
