# How can I set up notifications when an estimate is sold, the job gets booked, and apply a discount to a job or invoice?

## Problem

Users need to receive notifications when estimates are sold and jobs are booked. They also need to understand how invoices are created and sent to customers. Additionally, they need to know how to apply discounts to Sold jobs that weren't included in the original estimate.

## Solution

Follow the steps below to solve the issue.

### Set up notifications for sold estimates

1. 2. In the side panel, click **Integrations > Alerts**.
3. Click **Add** to create a new alert. For more, see [Use alerts](/v1/docs/use-alerts).
4. Select the **Customer Signed Online Estimate** type from the dropdown menu.
5. Select your delivery method as *Email and SMS*.
6. Add recipients who should receive notifications.
7. 8. Click **Save**.

### Set up notifications for booked jobs

1. 4. Select the **Booked Job** type from the dropdown menu.
5. Select your delivery method as *Email and SMS*.
6. Add recipients who should receive notifications.

8. Click **Save**.

### Set up invoice copy notifications

1. 2. In the side panel, click **Invoicing > Email**.
3. Click the **Invoice** tab.
4. 5. Click **Save**.

### Apply discounts to invoices

1. Go to the navigation bar and click **Pricebook**.
2. Click **Discounts and Fee**s.
3. [Create a new discount entry](/construction/docs/add-discounts-and-fees#add-discount-or-fee).
4. [Open the invoice](/construction/docs/use-search-in-servicetitan) you want to add a task to.
5. Click **Add a task**.
6.
