# How can I edit the custom field on the customer record?

## Problem

I don't know how to change the dropdown of the custom field on the customer profile.

## Solution

Follow the steps to update the custom field on the Customer Record.

### Edit a custom field

1. Go to **Settings ![](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/how-can-i-edit-the-custom-field-on-the-customer-record-image-o4128at7.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T02%3A38%3A36Z&se=2026-10-31T03%3A38%3A36Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=ufw5Q%2FEeXjUMdaahxeoo0QNDHIUVGNV0UVxuAjmkWt8%3D) > Operations > Custom Fields.**
2. Find the custom field you want to update, and click **Edit**.
3. Make the necessary changes, and click **Save** to apply the changes.
