# How can I add custom technician company positions in ServiceTitan?

## Problem

Users can't add custom technician company positions in ServiceTitan. The positions are pre-made and hard-coded for reporting purposes.

## Solution

There's no option to create and add company positions to technicians as all the positions are hard-coded for reporting purposes.

### Create and add roles

As a workaround, you can create and add Roles:

1. 2. In the side panel, click **People > Role permissions**.
3. In the *Technician Roles* section, click **Add**.
4. In the window that opens, enter a role name and click **Save**.
5. Grant the necessary permissions and click **Save.**
6. In the side panel, click **People > Technicians**.
7. Select a technician and click **Edit**.
8.
