# Enable the unit of measure feature

## Problem

You'd like to use the UOM feature, but don't have the inventory module enabled.

## Solution

### Enable the unit of measure feature

In order to use the Unit of Measure feature, you must first have the [inventory module](/v1/docs/inventory-module) enabled. Once enabled, follow [this guide to the Units of Measure](/construction/docs/units-of-measure-home) feature.
