# Editing Shared Contact List in Dialpad

## Problem

You downloaded a CSV template from the Phone Pro team and uploaded a shared contact list, but it's showing deactivated employees that are no longer with the company. You want to remove these inactive employees from the contact list, but you're unsure how to do so.

## Solution

1. Go to the Dialpad App.
2. Click on the **Phone** Icon and search for the contact by *Name* or *Number.*
3. Click on your **Contact**.
4. Click on **Edit Contact**.
5. Click **Delete**.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:** Shared contacts can be deleted, however, it will only delete the user's specific communication history, text content, etc. The shared contact will still be searchable after deletion.
