For example, if a technician forgets to tap **Arrive** at a job, you can manually edit their timesheet to properly account for job hours. --- ### #### Who uses this feature - Administrators and managers - Applies to all business types ## Things to know - You can edit, delete, or add timesheet entries for any job, regardless of job status. You can even edit timesheets for jobs in progress. - You can also edit non-job timesheet entries. Non-job timesheet entries are hours for non-job events, meal breaks, or any other timesheet events outside of job hours. - Use [timesheet codes](/construction/docs/set-up-timesheet-codes) to set whether non-job timesheet events are paid or unpaid. - If two non-job timesheet events are set at the same time, one paid and the other unpaid, the paid event takes precedence and the technician is paid for the overlapping time. - The *View employee time tracking and edit page* permission is required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team. ## Edit job timesheets #### Understand job hours Job hours are technician work hours logged for a specific job. Timesheets are calculated per job. Each event on the timesheet is assigned to the corresponding appointment ID, so you can see exactly which appointment a timesheet event belongs to. #### If our payroll periods are bi-weekly and we have a job with appointments that lasts 2 months, do we need to set up different jobs for each pay period? No, you don't need to set up separate jobs. Timesheet pay accrues as it happens and is attributed to the payroll period in which it was earned. Performance pay waits until the job is complete and the invoice is posted. #### What should we do if we get the error "Timesheet overlap with existing timesheet Meeting" when batching invoices? First, check if there are any non-job events that overlap with existing job timesheets. Then edit the timesheet and uncheck the **Needs a timesheet?** box to remove it from the technician's timesheet. That resolves the error message. #### Why am I getting a timesheet overlaps error when trying to complete a job or edit timesheets? Timesheet overlaps error occurs when two timesheet entries exist for the same time period. To resolve, see [Resolve timesheet overlap error when marking jobs as done](/construction/docs/resolve-timesheet-overlap-error-when-marking-jobs-as-done) #### How do I edit a technician's timesheet entries if they were not clocked in or clocked out correctly? If a technician's clock in and out entries are incorrect, you can edit their timesheets. To change their hours working on a job, [edit their job timesheet](/construction/docs/edit-technician-timesheets#job). To change hours when a technician is neither dispatched to nor working on a job, [edit their non-job timesheet](/construction/docs/edit-technician-timesheets#nonjob). ## Want to learn more? - Visit ServiceTitan Academy and enroll in [Payroll Adjustments](https://servicetitan.docebosaas.com/academy/learn/courses/311/Payroll-Adjustments)
