# Contact Leads in Convex

## Overview

After [creating your target list](/construction/docs/create-target-lists), you're ready to begin outreach by contacting those leads directly. This lets you engage potential customers, share your offerings, and move them further along in the sales process.

## Target drawer overview

Manage targets by updating their status and viewing key information.

[Open the target list](/construction/docs/targets-overview-in-convex) and click the target you want to view.

The target drawer includes these sections:

- **Overview**
  - Click **Assignee** to select an employee from the list. The employee is responsible for the contact.
  - Click **Status** to select a status for the lead.
- **Leads**
  - Click **Populate Leads** to generate additional contacts for a target.

- **Companies** (if applicable)

- **Properties** (if applicable)
  - Click the property card to open the property details panel. For more, see [Deep dive into the property details panel](/construction/docs/deep-dive-into-the-property-details-panel-in-convex).
- **Activity Log**
  - Shows all the activities done with the target.

## Contact Leads

After the contacts are populated for the targets, you can start contacting the leads.

1. [Open the target list](/construction/docs/targets-overview-in-convex) and click the target you want to contact.
2. From the *target drawer Leads* section, select the contact, then:
  1. Click **Call**. From the *New Call* pop-up that opens, click **Call** to call the contact.

> **Note:** Ensure to enable the microphone permissions to call directly from your account.
  2. Click **Email**. From the *New Message* pop-up that opens, create the message and click **Send**.

> **Note:** Ensure your [email is connected with Convex](/construction/docs/connect-your-email-with-convex) to email directly from your account.
  3. Click **Send to Phone** to send the contact to yourself. > **Note:** Click the three dots on the contact card to remove the contact from the target.
