# Is there a way to bulk delete tags from customer profiles in ServiceTitan?

## Problem

You want to remove a specific tag from multiple customer profiles in ServiceTitan

## Solution

There are two ways to remove tags from customer profiles in bulk, either by manually removing the tags from customer profiles, or by deactivating the tag which removes the tag from all profiles rather than specific ones.

### Deactivate the tag

1. Go to the **Settings > Operations > Tag Types**
2. Find the tag you want to remove
3. Click **Edit** on the desired tag.
4. Click **Deactivate**.
5. Confirm the deactivation when prompted.
6. Click **Save.**
7. The tag will be removed from all customer profiles.

### Manually remove tag

1. [Search for](/construction/docs/use-search-in-servicetitan) and open the customer's record.
2. 3. From the *Edit Customer* window, remove the tag.
4. Click **Save.**
