Associate service agreement Visits to existing jobs in case the technicians completed the agreement work without marking the job as a *Service Agreement Visit*. This improves record accuracy, supports contract compliance, and streamlines operational workflows. --- ### ****Who uses this feature**** - Administrators, accountants, estimators, project managers, and operations managers. - Primarily benefits Commercial Service and Replacement business types - Applies to all trades ****Feature configuration**** - Account configuration is required to use this feature. Please contact [Technical Support](http://go.servicetitan.com/ask) for details. - The *Edit Visit Status* permission is required to change the status of a visit (*Detach Job, Dismiss Visit, Delete Visit,* and *Attach/Detach Visit*). Please contact the account administrator on your team. ## Things to know - Attach a service agreement visit only if it is for the same customer location. - To attach the visit to a job, the job's invoice should not be posted or exported. - Currently, you can only attach one visit per job. - You can attach a visit from the job record, or from any service agreement visits list—the *Service Agreement Visits* screen under *Follow Up*, the *Service Agreement Dashboard*, or the *Visits* tab of an activated service agreement. - A job can either fulfill a service agreement visit or be marked as *Pull-Through Work*, not both. If a job is already linked to a service agreement as pull-through work, it does not appear in the *Select Existing Job* dialog. For more, see [Link service agreements to jobs and estimates as pull-through work](/construction/docs/service-agreements-pull-through-work). - The *Select Existing Job* dialog lists only jobs that meet all of the following: the job's service location matches the visit's location, the job's invoice is in *Pending* status, the job is not already marked as *Pull-Through Work*, and the job does not already have a visit attached. ## Attach a visit from the job record To attach a service agreement visit to an existing job: 1. Using [search](/construction/docs/use-search-in-servicetitan), find the job you want to attach the visit to. 2. From the job record, scroll down to the *Service Agreement Visit* section. > [!NOTE] > **Note:** The box shows the total number of available service agreement visits that are unscheduled. ![Four unscheduled service agreement visits available for this job, with an option to attach.](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/attach-service-agreement-visits-to-an-existing-job-image-bfymxe7c.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T02%3A39%3A39Z&se=2026-10-31T03%3A39%3A39Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2F3z2GetIkbBgMi16WTu4fijcK2sdKCKtcbmojR5zgH4%3D) 3. These warnings do not prevent you from selecting a visit, but they help you choose the right visit to attach to the job. 5. Click **Attach to Job.** This attaches the unscheduled service agreement visit to the job. ![Service agreement details for job](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/attach-service-agreement-visits-to-an-existing-job-image-g22eppx4.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T02%3A39%3A39Z&se=2026-10-31T03%3A39%3A39Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2F3z2GetIkbBgMi16WTu4fijcK2sdKCKtcbmojR5zgH4%3D) ## Attach a job from the visit You can also start from the visit instead of the job. This is useful when the work has already been completed on a job and you need to credit it to the agreement, rather than booking a duplicate job or dismissing the visit. This option is available on: - The *Service Agreement Visits* screen under *Follow Ups*. ![Service Agreement Visits dashboard showing job details and action options for scheduling.](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/Follow Up > Service Agreement Visits.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T02%3A39%3A39Z&se=2026-10-31T03%3A39%3A39Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2F3z2GetIkbBgMi16WTu4fijcK2sdKCKtcbmojR5zgH4%3D) - The *Dashboard* tab of an activated service agreement, in the *Remaining Visits* list. - The *Visits* tab of an activated service agreement. ![Overview of a Preventative Maintenance Agreement with scheduled visits and job details.](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/Service Agreement > Visits.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T02%3A39%3A39Z&se=2026-10-31T03%3A39%3A39Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2F3z2GetIkbBgMi16WTu4fijcK2sdKCKtcbmojR5zgH4%3D) To attach a visit to an existing job from any of these lists: 1. Locate the unbooked visit you want to attach. 1. Click **Actions > Attach to Existing Job**. The *Select Existing Job* dialog opens. 2. Review the eligible jobs. The dialog shows: - **Job #:** Click to open the job in a new tab. - **Job Type** - **Business Unit** - **First Appt** - **Status:** The dialog shows jobs in Scheduled, Completed, In Progress, Dispatched, and Hold status. Canceled jobs are not filtered out by default. - **Summary:** Hover over or click the tooltip in the column header to see which summary is shown: completed jobs display an invoice summary, and all other jobs display a job summary. > [!TIP] > **Tip:** Every column can be sorted and filtered, which helps when a location has a long job history. 2. Select the job you want to attach the visit to, then click **Attach to Job**. ![Job selection interface displaying scheduled and completed maintenance tasks for inspection.](https://cdn.document360.io/961862ab-d0f2-4d91-bb62-a62ee8184eff/Images/Documentation/3_Attach Job to Visit_SA Page.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T02%3A39%3A39Z&se=2026-10-31T03%3A39%3A39Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2F3z2GetIkbBgMi16WTu4fijcK2sdKCKtcbmojR5zgH4%3D) A confirmation message appears with a link to the job, which opens in a new tab. The visit is removed from the visits list, because it is no longer unbooked. ## What happens when you attach a job to a visit When a visit is attached to an existing job: - The visit is marked *Scheduled* or *Completed*, depending on the status of the job it was attached to. - The visit's Invoice template items are added to the job's invoice. - If the agreement uses Deferred revenue, the deferred revenue tasks are added to the job's invoice. - No other job details change. Attaching a visit does not overwrite the job's job type, business unit, Appointment, or any other field. ## Want to learn more? - See [Follow up on service agreement visits](/construction/docs/follow-up-on-service-agreement-visits) - See [Manage service agreements visits](/construction/docs/manage-service-agreements-visits) Invoice templates are used to generate invoices for recurring services and billing invoices.
