# Add custom project sub-statuses

## Overview

There are several default statuses for projects in Settings, but you can also add custom sub-statuses.

## Add a custom sub-status

To add custom sub-statuses to each of the default statuses provided in Settings:

1. 2. Click **Operations** **>** **Project Statuses**. The *Project Statuses* page opens.
3. Find the status for which you want to add a sub-status.
4. 5. > **Note:** You can edit or remove sub-statuses creating them. 6. When you're finished, click **Save**.
