# Activate or deactivate a service agreement template

## Overview

Once a Service Agreement template is activated, you can use it to create Service Agreements.

## Things to know

- The **Activate** and **Deactivate** buttons display the number of Service Agreements you are activating or deactivating.

## Activate a service agreement template

1. 2. In the side panel, click **Operations > Service Agreement Templates**.
3. 4. Deselect **Active** and select **Inactive**.

6. ## Deactivate a service agreement template

If you deactivate a service agreement template, you can no longer use it for creating new service agreements.

To deactivate a service agreement template:

1. 2. In the side panel, click **Operations > Service Agreement Templates**.
3. > **Note:** Deactivating a service agreement template does NOT impact agreements created in the past. Deactivated templates cannot be used to create new agreements.
