What you're seeing
You export the job costing flyout and expect to see all costs, but the materials from an adjustment invoice aren't included in the export. The other costs export normally — only the adjustment invoice's materials are missing.
Why this happens
There is 1 common reason.
Reason 1
The job costing flyout can't pull materials directly from an adjustment invoice.
There is currently no direct way to export job costing from an adjustment invoice, so those material costs don't appear in the flyout export.
Note: This article covers the legacy job costing flyout. If your account has GL-Based Costing enabled (a gated, request-based feature), the flyout is handled differently and this workaround may not apply the same way.
How to fix it
Pull the material costs from the Job Costing Summary report instead. The report can include adjustment-invoice costs when they're selected in the report filters.
1Pull material costs from the Job Costing Summary report
Use this if the adjustment invoice's materials are missing from the flyout export.
Go to the navigation bar and click Reports.
Search for and open the Job Costing Summary report.
Run the report to find the invoice you want to export.
Click the Materials + Equipment + PO Costs column.
Click the amount shown to drill down into the material, equipment, and PO costs.
Export the drilldown data as needed.
✓ Done · The material costs from the adjustment invoice appear in the drilldown and export correctly.
